This is a story of being brave, of never giving up, and of being who you were called to be.Ĭute story with a fantastic world, incredible illustrations, and the perfect sprinkling of hope and goodness to uplift your spirits.īecause these books are so short and don't want to cheat on my Goodreads list with books that are so short, I'm gonna be reviewing 3-4 at a time, which would count as ~200 pages worth.ġ) Terence doing the most for his crush, Tink.Ģ) Tinker Bell surprisingly grew from her relationship with Peter Pan.ģ) I only have more questions about how talents work? Because shouldn’t you be able to do your talent regardless of your tools…like its the archer, not the arrow.ġ) Vidia has so much gumption that not even the Queen is willing to reprimand her for not following the typical way of the fairies.Ģ) Also I love reading about ALL of the niche types of talents among the fairies. But true friends fly by her side and even into the heart of her fear.

Her talent seemingly breaks as each of her fixes somehow go terribly wrong. Tink loses her hammer and it's a very special hammer.

These books do such a good job of balancing real problems that kids face (such as whispers and stares while they walk past) with the beauty and kindness and moral integrity we seek to instill in our kids (and live up to ourselves).

I love how the fairies each grow a little bit through each story, and Tink here grows to overcome embarrassment and fear. They complete the delightful experience, immersing the reader into a peaceful little world where time stands still, community comes together, and every problem has an answer. The illustrations are just as much part of the story as the words are-and what fabulously enticing illustrations they are! Honestly, the illustrations for this series are quite possibly my favorite illustrations for any book anywhere. Rereading this makes my heart happy in a way few things do. Of course the series must start with the beloved and classic Tink!
